Technical Data - Rust-Oleum Matt Furniture Paint
Renovate and transform furniture with Rust-Oleum Washable Matt Furniture Paint. The soft touch, matt finish is both extremely durable and washable and can be directly applied to wood (bare or painted), brick, stone, plaster, most plastics, paper, or any suitably primed rigid surface (metal, plastic, etc).
Preparation: Ensure surface is smooth, clean, dry and free from wax, polish, oil or any other surface contaminants liable to cause adhesion problems. Previously painted / varnished surfaces should be lightly abraded to provide a key. Bare metal should be suitably primed prior to
painting. Prime any surfaces where stain blocking will be an issue such as knots or tannin bleed from timber with an appropriate stain blocking
primer.
Application: Stir thoroughly before use. Use only when the temperature is between 10-32oC and humidity is below 85% to ensure proper drying. Apply by brush or short nap mohair roller. If applying by brush, apply evenly following the grain of the wood.
Coverage: Up to 14m2 / litre per coat. Two coats normally applied.
Drying Time: Touch dry after 1 hour. Hard dry in 4 hours. Recoat after 2 hours.
Clean Up: Remove as much product as possible from application equipment before washing with water. Do not empty into drains or water courses. Some local authorities have special facilities for the disposal of waste coatings.
Limitations: Coverage may vary depending upon method and rate of application and porosity of surface. Drying times are based on warm (20oC), dry application conditions with good ventilation. Lower temperatures and higher humidity will prolong the drying times. Not recommended for outdoor use. Whilst every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of colour, due to limitations of the print process colour/finish shown is for guidance only. To ensure paint suitability test on a small inconspicuous area first.
Shelf Life: 2 years (unopened) from date of manufacture. (See base of can).
