For best results ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from any surface contamination. Glossy surfaces should be lightly abraded and all dust removed before applying the paint direct to the prepared surface.
A primer will be required if there is likely to be any staining from the substrate – such as Zinsser B-I-N Primer to block a knot in softwood or Zinsser Cover Stain to block any potential tannin bleed from hardwood timber.
