UNIVERSAL ALL-SURFACE

A highly durable universal paint designed for direct application to many surfaces. Can be applied directly to wood, metal, most plastics, ceramics and even rust. No primer needed †.

†Prime suitably prepared metal, ferrous, non-ferrous, and galvanised with Universal Special Metals Primer. For stain blocking, particularity nicotine and tannin bleed, prime first with Universal Stain Block Primer. Seal very porous surfaces where required with an appropriate sealer.

Technical Data - Rust-Oleum Universal All-Surface Paint

Preparation: Remove oil, grease, and all other surface contamination by cleaning with appropriate detergents. Remove loose rust by scraping and wire brushing or sanding. Lightly abrade UPVC, remove any dust and wipe with methylated spirit.
Application: Stir thoroughly before use. Thinning is not required. Apply 1-2 coats with a brush or short pile mohair roller. For roller application lay off immediately with a brush.
Coverage for Matt/Satin/Gloss Finishes: Up to 10m²/litre. Coverage may vary depending upon method and rate of application and porosity of surface.

Coverage for Metallic Finish: Up to 2m²/litre. Coverage may vary depending upon method and rate of application and porosity of surface.
Drying Time: Touch dry in 4 hours. Handle after 8 hours. Apply a second coat after 16 hours (if necessary). Full hardness is achieved after 7 days. Ensure application conditions are favourable for painting, we recommend that the temperature is between 10⁰C - 32⁰C with a maximum humidity of 80%, do not apply in direct sunlight or if conditions are humid.
Clean Up: Remove as much paint from brushes as possible before cleaning. Clean with a suitable brush cleaner or soak in white spirit for 5-10 minutes, rinse and dry thoroughly.

Limitations: Store in a dry, safe place. Do not store paint in environments where extreme temperatures may occur. Keep within 5-30°C. Do not store in direct sunlight. Whilst every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of colour, due to limitations of the print process, colour / finish shown is for guidance only.
Shelf Life: 2 years (unopened) from date of manufacture. (See base of can).
