You Will Need:
Rust-Oleum Washable Matt Floor Tile Paint Base (Part 1)
Rust-Oleum Activator (Part 2)
Paint stirrer
Small or large roller tray and foam or short-pile roller (depending on size of area you are painting)
Paintbrush
Masking tape
Dust sheets
Disposable gloves
Protective glasses
Degreaser (sugar soap or equivalent)
Scrubbing brush

Step 1
Before you start, make sure to protect your hands and eyes with disposable gloves and protective glasses. Next, prepare the space by removing all furniture from the room and protect skirting boards, walls, doors and other areas you don’t want to paint with masking tape or dustsheets.
Step 2
Preparation is key. Vacuum and sweep your floor before using a degreaser cleaner (sugar soap or equivalent) to thoroughly scrub the tiles. Rinse the surface afterwards with water to ensure your tiles are clean and free from contamination i.e., dust, dirt, grime etc. Make sure that the tiles are completely dry before you start painting them and make good any repairs to failing grouting.
Step 3
Now all you have to do is paint!
Add the Activator (included) to the Rust-Oleum Floor Tile Paint and stir thoroughly until the mixture is uniform. We recommend using a paint brush to ‘cut in’ around the edges of the room and paint in-between the tiles- this ensures that the paint reaches difficult areas, like grout, evenly. Use a roller to apply paint to the remainder for an effortlessly smooth finish. Apply two coats for flawless results.
Remember to plan an ‘escape route’ by starting at the furthest wall away from the entrance while moving backwards towards the door.
