With no primer or topcoat needed for wooden or melamine cupboards, this is a recipe for success. Even glossy cupboards can be painted, simply sand them down first with a fine grit sandpaper.

Rust-Oleum Kitchen Cupboard Paint is suitable for most cupboard surfaces. Simply give each cupboard a light sand with a fine grit sandpaper and clean with a degreasing agent, then you're ready to paint!
Each 750ml tin will cover around 11m2 per coat. Two tins should be sufficient for an average UK sized kitchen.
No matter how clean you think your kitchen is, you need to wipe everything down with a grease remover, otherwise, when you add a water-based paint to an oil covered door, the paint will not stick.
It isn't strictly necessary to remove doors prior to painting, but you will need to ensure you prep properly if leaving your doors and drawers in situ.
