How to create chalkboard storage jars
Looking to organise your storage in a unique way? Our Chalkboard Paint is an aerosol that creates a wipeable chalkboard on a variety of surfaces. Read on to discover how to transform glass jars with customisable chalkboard labels.
You will need:
- Rust-Oleum Chalkboard Paint, Black
- Storage jars
- Masking tape
- Chalk
Step 1
Use masking tape to outline the shape of your chalkboard labels. Make sure to cover any area you don't want to paint. Once in a well-ventilated space, put down a large dust sheet or some old newspapers. You might also want to cover surrounding areas to protect from spray mist.
Step 2
Apply up to two coats of our Chalkboard Paint, making sure to hold the can roughly 30cm away from the jar. Allow to dry fully between coats.
Step 3
Once fully dry, remove the masking tape, grab some chalk and label away.
