How to spray paint a basket

Can you paint wicker baskets?

You will need:
- Rust-Oleum Switch
- Krud Kutter / Cleaner & Degreaser
- Clean cloth
- Dust sheet
Step 1
Protect your floor with a dust sheet and clean your basket with Krud Kutter. This will remove any dirt from the surface. Rinse thoroughly with water. Allow to dry
Vigorously shake the can for at least one minute. Set the Switch dial to number 2 (Standard output). With a classic spray pattern and great coverage, the Standard output is easy to use.
Step 2
When spraying, hold the can roughly 30cm away from the basket to achieve a smooth finish. It is important so pray each section of the basket in a steady back and forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. If spraying a bare metal or plastic surface, make sure use a suitable primer first.
Next, set the Switch dial to 3 (Low Output) This setting is perfect for textured surfaces, as it sprays a lower volume of paint, allowing more control. Spray in steady vertical strokes and make sure to cover any areas you may have missed.
Step 3
After use, turn the can upside down and spray for 2-3 seconds to clear the spray nozzle, so it’s ready for your next project. Repeat this step for each nozzle used by rotating the dial.
