How to paint your bathroom cabinets

Our Bathroom Wood and Cabinet Paint is the perfect way to refresh your bathroom, en-suite or WC with a contemporary new look. Not sure where to start? Simply follow this four-step guide on how to paint your bathroom cabinets with a beautifully bold or stylishly subtle splash of colour. Available in matt, satin and gloss finishes.

You will need

•Rust-Oleum Bathroom Wood and Cabinet Paint
•Brush or roller
•Paint stirrer
•Masking tape
•Screwdriver (optional)

Step 1

First thing’s first, use a screwdriver to remove the handles from your bathroom cabinets; you do not have to remove cupboard doors to repaint them, but it will make it easier to paint the façade.

Step 2

Give your cabinet a good clean with sugar soap or degreaser to make sure the paint will adhere to the surface. Ensure any dirt, dust or stains have been removed and that the surface is dry before painting.

Step 3

Mask up! Use masking tape to cover any area you do not wish to paint such as the surrounding wall or cabinet hinges. Tape the cabinet edges to provide a nice crisp outline for that perfect professional finish.

Step 4

Now all you have to do is paint!

Stir the paint thoroughly and, using a brush, paint the more intricate and hard to reach areas before switching to a medium pile mohair roller for maximum coverage of the remaining surface. Touch dry in one hour and fully dry in four hours, a second coat is recommended for an utterly flawless finish.

And that's it!

Stand back and admire your hard work and a beautiful new bathroom! Rust-Oleum Bathroom Wood and Cabinet Paint is the perfect paint for a total transformation without the price tag.
