You will need
· Rust-Oleum Stove & BBQ Spray Paint
· Krud Kutter Cleaner Degreaser
· Dust sheets or old newspaper (optional)
· Masking tape
· Face mask
· Safety glasses
· Rubber gloves
Step 1
First ensure your barbecue is in a wide-open space, such as your garden, and cover the surrounding area with newspaper or dust sheets to protect from spray mist. Knock off any loose rust on the BBQ with a wire brush and wipe clean with a damp sponge. Use Krud Kutter Cleaner Degreaser to thoroughly clean your BBQ, removing any grease, dust and dirt, inside and out.
Step 2
Remove or mask off the propane tank, wheels, tool basket and other hardware if necessary. Next, apply Rust-Oleum Stove & BBQ Spray Paint to the entire outer surface of the BBQ. Hold the can approximately 30cm away from the surface and spray in even, overlapping strokes. Allow to dry and recoat within 1 hour.
Step 3
We used our Universal Spray Paint on the metal legs for a sleek finishing touch. Again, make sure to slightly overlap each stroke to prevent striping. Apply several thin coats and allow to dry. Recoat after 1 hour.
And that's it!
Stand back and admire your sizzling summer BBQ! Choose from black, silver or green to instantly refresh your BBQ in time for the warmer weather. This spray paint is also great for chimineas and stoves as it is heat-resistant up to 650ºc.
