Technical Data - Rust-Oleum Radiator Paint
Preparation: Ensure surface is clean, dry, and free from contamination. Bare metal surfaces should be primed with a suitable metal primer. Previously painted surfaces (or the original factory finish) should be abraded and degreased prior to paint application.
Application: Turn radiator off and allow to cool to room temperature during application and drying. Stir thoroughly before use. The product may be applied by brush or roller. If rollering, use a short to medium nap mohair roller. Two coats are recommended. Temperature at time of application and during drying should be between 10° - 25°C.
Coverage: Up to 14m²/l per coat.
Drying Time: Touch dry in 1 hour. Hard dry in 4 hours. May be over coated after 4 hours. After application of final coat allow a minimum of 4 hours before putting the radiator back into use. Run the radiator at low heat for 2 hours before gradually increasing temperature.
Clean Up: Remove as much product as possible from application equipment before washing with water. Do not empty into drains or water courses. Some local authorities have special facilities for the disposal of waste paint.
Limitations: Not suitable for use over chrome. Not suitable for use on towel rails. Not suitable for surfaces at temperature above 60°C.
Shelf Life: 2 years (unopened) from date of manufacture. (See base of can).
