Technical Data - Rust-Oleum Chalkwash Paint
Preparation: For best results ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from contamination. Remove any dirt/grease with an appropriate detergent if necessary. Sand any glossy, hard surfaces before application to provide a key.
Application: Stir thoroughly before use. First coat may be applied by brush or roller. If applying by brush use a large soft brush (appox 10cm width). Apply second coat with a wide, soft brush at alternating angles in a "criss-cross" manner.
Coverage: Up to 11m²/L per coat. Coverage may vary depending upon application method, rate of application & porosity of the surface.
Drying Time: Touch dry in 1 hour. Hard dry in 4 hours. May be over coated after 4 hours.
Clean Up: Remove as much product as possible from application equipment before washing with water. Do not empty into drains or water courses. Some local authorities have special facilities for the disposal of waste paint.
Limitations: Not for use directly onto metal. Use a suitable metal primer if necessary. Not a stain blocking product. Prime any surfaces where stain bleed may be an issue, including knots. In case of doubt, test the product on an inconspicuous area prior to starting your project. Do not use abrasive cleaners to clean the product, use a damp cloth only. Some food items may stain the product, remove any spills immediately to stop this or minimize the effect. This product is not recommended for exterior use. Temperature at time of application and during drying should be greater than 10°C.
Shelf Life: 2 years (unopened) from date of manufacture. (See base of can).
